Akademie der

Bildenden Künste

München

The Academy of Fine Arts in Munich's Kunstareal is a vital centre for the development of contemporary art. Its curriculum is extraordinary in the context of today's higher education landscape. It relies on autonomy and personal responsibility, and promotes outstanding artistic talent based on individual interests and priorities.

With their different artistic approaches, renowned artists head the fine arts classes and degree programmes as well as the numerous study workshops.

Approximately 700 students, a good quarter of them from abroad, learn in an exciting coexistence of tradition and modernity. The annual exhibition always presents in July student works in the ateliers, study workshops and in the garden.
