The Karin Sachs Gallery was founded in 1986 in Munich in the Gärtnerplatz district. It sees its task in the mediation of contemporary art in the fields of drawing, sculpture, photography and video.
In addition to the mediation of established positions, it is a special concern of the gallery to promote experimental and cross-disciplinary approaches.
Since June 2007, the gallery has been located at Augustenstrasse 48, near the Pinakotheken and the Lenbachhaus.
