The gallery was founded in 1978 by Bernhard and Hanna Wittenbrink in Regensburg. In 1984it moved to Munich and is now in the middle of the art area, directly opposite the Pinakothek der Moderne. The gallery program includes painting, sculpture, photography, video art, and designer jewelry.
