ELLA

im

Lenbachhaus

The restaurant's namesake, Gabriele Münter, who was affectionately called ELLA by her partner Wassily Kandinsky, stands for aesthetics, creativity and the courage to push forward one's own ideas. These three qualities are also the basis of the gastronomy. Here, the best ingredients that the Munich region and its surroundings have to offer are seen as the basis of the gastronomic vision. Small farms and suppliers from the region, who provide their high-quality products, play an essential role in offering guests the best quality. Influenced by years of experience in gastronomy, operator Michael Hausberger adds new sophistication to traditional dishes. Unusual combinations of reworked regional classics with Italian influences fascinate him and constantly inspire him to new creations. At ELLA, a look into the past of the Lenbachhaus is combined with a historical view of food and drink.
