SMUDAJESCHECK | MUNICH was founded in 2009 by Charlotte Smuda-Jescheck. The gallery focuses on contemporary abstract art that is experienced through sensory qualities such as color, materiality, surface, and haptics. A special emphasis is placed on object-like works that, depending on the light and the viewer's perspective, reveal shifting color gradients or playfully oscillate between surface and space.
SMUDAJESCHECK represents both established and emerging artists, including Minor Alexander, Daniel Engelberg, Knopp Ferro, Wolfgang Flad, Esther Hagenmaier, Monika Huber, Lev Khesin, Florian Lechner, Ma Shuqing, Doris Marten, Rita Rohlfing, Willi Siber, Chris Tille, Detlef Waschkau, Zhuang Hong Yi, and Zsolt Zrínyi.
The gallery is internationally present at art fairs, such as photo basel.
