Handwerk

The Gallery Handwerk is the cultural hub of the Chamber of Crafts for Munich and Upper Bavaria. Located in close proximity to the museums on Königsplatz and the Pinakotheken, it bridges the gap between craftsmanship and contemporary art. Seven exhibitions are held each year, featuring guided tours, specialist lectures and workshops, with the aim of raising the profile of craft culture and craft design in society.

The spectrum is wide-ranging: from classic crafts to applied arts, from fashion to monument preservation. From ceramics, filigree wood sculptures, textile structures, international influences from the field of jewellery, material experiments to creative craftsmanship as a medium of storytelling.

The exhibitions and special shows inspire not only young designers and craftspeople, but also collectors, gallery owners and lovers of international applied art far beyond the country's borders.

The building is barrier-free accessible.

Barrier-free toilets are located on the ground floor.
