Galerie Friese was founded in Stuttgart in 2008, moved to Berlin in 2015, and opened its Munich branch at Theresienstr. 46 in September 2025. The gallery's program spans a wide range from classical modernism to young contemporary artists. We see ourselves as a place of cultural exchange with a focus on the media of painting and drawing. The estates we represent include art-historically significant figures such as Willi Baumeister, Norbert Kricke, Dieter Krieg, Georg Karl Pfahler, and Walter Stöhrer. Contemporary artists we represent include Franziska Holstein, Karin Kneffel, Thomas Müller, Claire de Santa Coloma, and Cornelius Völker.
